Project Car
Tuesday 2nd February 2010:
This is our new Audi A4 (B5). This is to be our new BM TOWN project car. Follow us over the next few weeks and months as we develop and modify this car, using products we supply.
The A4 looks fine as it is but we want to give it more of an individual look and more sporty character, and also use it to promote our presence by attending various car shows, including some specific Audi car shows which are taking place this year (see our Links page for details).

The first stage is to develop the styling of the car so we will be changing the bumpers, wheels, lights, and front grille, and then adding some extra items such as side skirts, a window spoiler, and maybe a boot spoiler.

So far, the new front grille, side repeaters, and rear lights have been fitted along with a new set of black mats to tidy the interior up a bit..
The new front grille (£55) is an all black RS4 honeycomb mesh style which goes well with the white car.
The new side repeaters (£30) are crystal chrome with 4 built in orange LED's and the rear lights (£150) are also an LED style which we like. The LED's are for the night lights and brake lights, which are incredibly bright, and look really smart. The chrome piece underneath the rear lights will be colour coded shortly and should look much better..
The last thing we've done for now is fit a new set of all black tailor made mats (£35) which improve the look of the interior.
We now have the side skirts, and rear window spoiler here and are just waiting on the new bumpers to arrive so we can get the car to the paint shop for fitting, so check back again soon for the next update and more pictures.

The styling parts are now back from the paint shop. We've started fitting the honeycomb black mesh to the front bumper and are very pleased with the results. We should have the rest of the mesh sorted on the front bumper tomorrow.
Before we start fitting the side skirts we are going to remove the standard black plastic trim from along the bottom of the doors and sill so that once fitted they shoud give the car a more cleaner all white look.
The rear bumper is the tricky one as we may have to remove the original exhaust tailpipe and have a quad exhaust tailpipe system custom built, and then maybe produce some sort of rear diffuser to fill the big gap in the middle between the two new tailpipes. We'll see.
Once the rear window spoiler is fitted we'll add our BM TOWN logo or website address to it in black. We've just had some nice black mats with white border produced with our BM TOWN logo in white. This is a new service we now offer for anyone who'd like a set of customised mats for their Audi with a logo of their choice.
